i'm lost in space today.
floating through a universe of thoughts
i want to close my eyes and slip deeper
falling out of orbit and into the stars
i lack the focus to listen to what you're saying
i don't want to know about
the laws of motion/
/descarte's view on metaphysics/
/why you straightened your hair today/
/how it's everyone else's fault but yours
i only want to stay in space
just for today.

I feel like that today, wanting to float on my cloud a little longer.
The middle section, from "i lack the focus" to "but yours" is perfect, James, just perfect. I feel like the framing phrases could be a little more...I'm not sure, polished is all, probably, but I love the center of it so, so much.

Um. I kind of love you for that, however creepy it may sound. Also: space cadet reminds me of Window XP's 3-D pinball, which seems strangely perfect.
